Unfortunately campaigning has become big business and very costly. You' may have heard it said that 'money wins'. The truth is, those that have the most money spare no expense to make you remember their name. In local races name recognition is usually the deciding factor. District 16 is a VERY large district in terms of square miles. It runs from I-29 east to the Sioux River, and from Lake Alvin (County road 110 or 273rd street) all the way to Nebraska, with the exclusion of Harrisburg and surrounding area.
